For the sixth year, the “Person of the Year 2020” was embraced by the citizens of Achaia and beyond. The pandemic of Covid changed our daily lives but some people continued to show that they can make a difference. Of course, the conditions of the event were unusual, since the pandemic, but the implementation of the awards was non-negotiable. The ceremony was too emotional for all participants.

So, people were awarded as Person of the year 2020 in various fields for contribution of their work to society. The fields are: Sports, Society, Education – Research – Innovation, Culture, Administration and In Honor.

Alexandra Makrygeorgou, the founder of Liofyllo, was awarded in the category “Education”, due to her contribution at the society through the innovation of Liofyllo. 
The “Person of the Year” is an initiative of the oldest newspaper “Peloponnisos” and it started in Patras at 2014, . From 2015, the participation of the public in the promotion of the “Persons” was established, by voting on the website.

The event took place online with the participation of the public and the presentations of the candidates via videos and a platform.
