Upinfood (code: 2022-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000085003) is an EU-funded vocational training project aimed at enhancing innovation-related skills in Vocational Education and Training (VET) for micro and small businesses in the food sector. This project seeks to modernize and transform the food supply chain by promoting innovative and sustainable business models through high-quality VET education.

Objectives of the Upinfood Project:

  • Upskilling Professionals in the Food Sector – Providing training to equip businesses with the necessary skills for adopting innovation.
  • Sustainable Food Chain Transformation – Encouraging eco-friendly business practices and green entrepreneurship in the food industry.
  • Developing a Comprehensive Training Program – Creating a structured VET curriculum tailored to the needs of food sector professionals.
  • Promoting Green & Sustainable Practices – Ensuring that sustainability and environmental responsibility are embedded within training.
  • Supporting Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) – Helping small food businesses transition toward modern, sustainable operations.

Liofyllo’s Key Role in Upinfood:

Leading the Green Committee due to its expertise in sustainability and circular economy, Liofyllo will:
✔ Monitor and evaluate sustainable practices implemented by project partners.
✔ Ensure green behaviors and compliance with eco-friendly standards throughout the project.
✔ Provide recommendations for maintaining an environmentally responsible approach in the Upinfood training program.

Contributing to the Training Program, Liofyllo will also play a crucial role in guiding partners to develop a complete training program, addressing the key competencies needed in the food sector.

European Priority:

The project aligns with the EU priority of Adapting Vocational Education and Training (VET) to Labour Market Needs, ensuring that food industry professionals acquire the necessary skills to meet the demands of innovation and sustainability in modern food production.
