The ECOSTEM – KEY project (code: 2022-2-МК01-КА210-SCH-000100728) is a small-scale European partnership involving four countries—North Macedonia, Portugal, Turkey and Greece—working together to combat environmental damage and promote sustainable development. The project is officially titled “One Planet – One Destination – Restoring the Ecosystem”, reflecting its commitment to addressing climate change and ecosystem restoration in alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15: Life on Land.
Three Pillars of Environmental Education in ECOSTEM – KEY:
- Education about the Environment – Understanding ecosystems, biodiversity and the human impact on nature.
- Education within the Environment – Using outdoor learning, fieldwork and real-world activities to engage students.
- Educational Approaches for the Environment – Encouraging active participation, problem-solving and environmental activism in schools.
European Priority:
The project aligns with the EU priority of Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change, supporting a greener future through education, innovation and community engagement.
